What is the smallest battery I can use with a wind turbine?
For wind turbines that have a power output of 200 to 1000 Watts certainly no less than 100ah. This is because the batteries of this size can handle the maximum input current that the turbine might produce in strong wind conditions. As an example the TESUP Master940 can potentially put out 74 Amp for a 12V system. This means your battery specification must state that it can accept this maximum output. For most systems greater than say 200ah this will most likely be just fine. However there are other factors like if you have solar and the battery configuration (parallel or series). But as always make sure you check your battery specifications from the manufacturer if unsure or contact us and we can help.
